Chatbot Providers Germany 2026: moinAI, melibo, Kauz.ai or ArkeonTech?

Chatbot Providers Comparison AI Chatbot SME GDPR
Four differently structured chatbot systems on illuminated plinths in front of a factual comparison matrix

The four chatbot providers do not solve the same problem. moinAI sells a scalable SaaS platform with unlimited conversations. melibo delivers written customer service as a managed project. Kauz.ai combines customer chatbots with internal AI workplaces. ArkeonTech develops one workflow around CRM, ERP or sales systems.

Direct answer: moinAI is the strongest fit for high conversation volumes and standardised customer communication. melibo specialises in managed ecommerce, email and ticket support. Kauz.ai suits companies that want internal AI applications alongside customer chatbots. ArkeonTech fits custom processes that benefit from direct developer support and a lower published entry price.

This comparison is current as of 4 September 2026. It uses only public pricing, product and privacy pages. No trial accounts were assessed. ArkeonTech is itself a provider and the publisher of this article; that position is disclosed throughout the comparison.

How do moinAI, melibo, Kauz.ai and ArkeonTech compare at a glance?

The defining difference is the delivery model. moinAI and Kauz.ai sell clearly defined platform plans, melibo a managed SaaS project, and ArkeonTech a custom implementation. Prices and included services are therefore not equivalent.

ProviderDelivery modelPublished entry priceConversation volumeDistinctive focus
moinAISelf-service SaaS with support€750/month with annual paymentunlimitedWebsite chat, leads and standardised service
meliboFull-service SaaSmonthly fee plus setup, quote onlynot publishedChat, email, contact forms and tickets
Kauz.aiNo-code platform in fixed plans€499/month1,000/month in StarterCustomer chatbots plus internal AI workplaces
ArkeonTechCustom development as a service€1,500 setup plus €99/monthdefined in proposalCRM, ERP and sales processes

A company handling 20,000 simple website questions needs a different model from a manufacturer with 300 complex enquiries involving order and customer data. The first case points towards a platform. The second is more likely to require a project-specific integration.

What does each chatbot provider cost in year one?

Using the lowest published plan, year one costs €9,000 at moinAI, €5,988 at Kauz.ai and €2,688 at ArkeonTech. melibo cannot be calculated because it publishes neither the monthly amount nor its setup fee.

ProviderAssumptionFirst yearImportant limit

Kauz.ai Starter12 x €499€5,9881 agent, 1,000 conversations, 10 GB
ArkeonTech€1,500 setup plus 12 x €99€2,688scope and volume defined in fixed-price proposal

moinAI Business costs €880 when paid monthly and has a three-month minimum term. Growth starts at €1,350 per month with annual payment and is described as the plan for mid-sized companies. It includes 35 agents, five actions, live chat and advanced integrations.

Kauz.ai also publishes a Mid-Market plan at €1,499 per month. It expands Starter to ten agents, 5,000 conversations, 50 GB and advanced workflow connections. melibo promises a fixed monthly charge without variable billing per chat, but discloses the amount only in a proposal.

ArkeonTech's figure comes from its own pricing page: from €1,500 setup and €99 per month with no minimum term. Hosting, model usage, monitoring and tuning are included; external channel fees are calculated separately. Our existing article How much does an AI chatbot cost for an SMB? explains general cost categories, so they are deliberately not repeated here.

What is moinAI's distinctive strength?

moinAI combines unlimited conversations with a broad platform that customer teams can operate themselves. Business includes 15 AI agents, Growth 35 and Professional 75. Published capabilities include HubSpot, Salesforce and Zendesk connections, webhooks, a knowledge base, forms and analytics, with live chat and additional channels in higher plans.

This makes moinAI suitable for organisations with many recurring conversations and an internal team responsible for content and analysis. It is less compelling for one small, highly custom process, where a company may pay for platform breadth it does not use.

What is melibo's distinctive strength?

melibo has the clearest focus on automating written service channels. It lists website chat, contact forms, email and tickets, with connections to Zendesk, Freshdesk, Shopify, Shopware, Xentral, weclapp and PlentyOne. It also states that any system with an open API can in principle be connected.

Its full-service model covers implementation, migration, technical connections, support and continuous improvement. melibo estimates successful clients contribute about 64 internal hours per year. That unusually concrete figure is useful: full service reduces customer effort but does not remove it. The main public gap is pricing, which cannot be compared before a written proposal exists.

What is Kauz.ai's distinctive strength?

Kauz.ai extends beyond external customer service. In addition to aiStudio for chatbots, it offers aiWorkplace and workflows for internal AI use. That matters when a company wants one vendor for its website bot, internal knowledge and recurring office workflows.

The plans make limits visible: Starter includes one agent and 1,000 conversations; Mid-Market includes ten agents and 5,000 conversations. Enterprise adds custom integrations, a dedicated tenant, on-premises deployment, SSO, IP allowlisting, SLAs and audits. Kauz.ai is therefore the clearest candidate for a broader platform or sovereignty strategy, although volume needs careful planning.

What is ArkeonTech's distinctive strength?

ArkeonTech does not provide a general-purpose bot platform for self-service. Delivery begins with a specific workflow: qualifying leads, booking appointments under company rules, reading order status from an ERP system or writing data to a CRM. The customer contact is also the engineer implementing the system.

This model fits businesses whose process is too specific for a standard plan and that do not want to administer a platform. It does not fit teams wishing to create many bots themselves at short notice or looking for an established enterprise suite. Unlike the three platform providers, its practical limit is shaped more by the agreed project scope than by agent or conversation allowances.

Which integrations do the providers publish?

Their integration lists overlap but reveal different priorities. The decisive detail is whether a connection only receives data or can also write safely into the target system.

This table does not rate technical depth. A connector can transfer a record without covering the required business workflow. Each vendor should therefore demonstrate the same real transaction in a test system.

Which facts cannot be compared fairly from public information?

Five items remain incomplete on the reviewed pages or differ too much between delivery models for a direct comparison.

Missing factWhy it matters
melibo total priceA 24-month calculation needs setup and monthly charges
ArkeonTech conversation allowanceConcrete volume appears only in the fixed-price proposal
Implementation time per planProject start and complete production rollout are different dates
Write permissions of standard connectorsAn integration logo says nothing about actions and permissions
SLA in entry plansIncident response time affects operational value

These gaps are not evidence against a provider. They identify what only a proposal or demonstration can answer. Our existing twelve-question AI agency checklist covers that contractual and operational review without duplicating it here.

Which provider fits each concrete scenario?

Company situationMost obvious fitReason
Many standard website enquiries and an internal content teammoinAIunlimited conversations and broad self-service platform
Ecommerce support across chat, email and ticketsmelibodocumented channel and shop focus plus full service
Customer bot and internal AI on one platformKauz.aiaiStudio, aiWorkplace and Enterprise deployment options
Custom CRM or ERP process with direct developer contactArkeonTechproject-specific integration instead of a general platform

This is not a quality ranking. It maps public product focus to a business situation. Any provider may fit outside its core position if its demo and proposal cover the actual workflow convincingly.

Which chatbot provider wins the 2026 comparison?

None wins for every business. moinAI is the clearest choice for high conversation volumes on a standard SaaS platform. melibo has the strongest visible focus on managed ecommerce and ticket support. Kauz.ai provides the broadest combination of customer chatbot, internal AI and Enterprise deployment. ArkeonTech publishes the leanest entry point for one custom integrated process.

This comparison is deliberately narrower than our existing content. It does not re-explain AI chatbot costs or the difference between standard chatbots and custom development. Its sole purpose is to map these four named providers to concrete company requirements.

Frequently asked questions about chatbot providers

Which chatbot provider is best for German mid-sized companies in 2026? There is no single best provider. moinAI suits high conversation volumes on a standard platform, melibo managed ecommerce and ticket support, Kauz.ai a broader AI platform, and ArkeonTech custom CRM or ERP processes.

Which provider publishes the lowest entry cost? ArkeonTech publishes €1,500 setup plus €99 per month, or €2,688 in year one. Kauz.ai starts at €499 per month and moinAI at €750 per month with annual payment. melibo publishes no numerical price. The packages have different scope and volume limits.

Which chatbot provider is suitable for high conversation volumes? moinAI lists unlimited conversations in all published plans. Kauz.ai includes 1,000 conversations in Starter and 5,000 in Mid-Market. melibo and ArkeonTech do not publish directly comparable conversation allowances on the pages reviewed.

Which provider fits ecommerce and ticketing? melibo lists Zendesk, Freshdesk, Shopify, Shopware, Xentral, weclapp and PlentyOne and focuses on chat, email, contact forms and tickets. moinAI and Kauz.ai also document standard integrations but emphasise different operating models.

Which provider offers on-premises deployment? Kauz.ai explicitly lists on-premises deployment or a dedicated tenant as Enterprise options. The compared standard plans from moinAI and melibo do not list on-premises deployment as a regular feature. ArkeonTech defines infrastructure per project.

Is ArkeonTech independent in this comparison? No. ArkeonTech sells custom AI chatbots and publishes this comparison. The assessment therefore uses only publicly documented prices and features from each provider; it is neither a paid product test nor an independent certification.
